“These suppliers of machinery have pioneered some of the most durable and long lasting equipment that was ever made. These designs are still at the foundation of the industry. The quality of this equipment allows them to run for decades.
The majority of A.M. King’s unused inventory is in its original packaging, has never been installed, and sits in storage in warehouses because it was ordered, but never left the shipping dock because the end project was delayed or cancelled somewhere along the way, in most cases due to permitting issues or political turmoil.
“There are many projects that due to their scope and size may not benefit from surplus equipment, but for those that can, surplus equipment can help reduce costs and mitigate any risks of delayed delivery,” says Vice President, Albert King III.
King says the availability of this inventory could catalyze mine plans, especially as engineering firms use equipment availability in proposals as they scope projects worldwide to increase project NPV and make more projects economically viable, creating more jobs and more installation and spare parts orders for manufacturers, putting their equipment back into service. In addition to the US, A.M. King Industries has supply hubs and sales representatives in Belgium, France, Australia, Philippines, South American, Mexico and Canada.
Guaranteed and swift delivery could generate significant capital savings, and the product has already been tested and quality assured – and is ready to be physically inspected.
“During the manufacturing process of a massive grinding mill it’s possible to spend half a year manufacturing one of the main components, and they could turn out to be unusable – it’s potential for loss or delay to the project,” King explains.
A.M. King’s unused equipment has already been quality control approved by the manufacturer and the end user benefits from an organized, efficient, transparent system.
While their reach is global, A.M. King has a network of local equipment dealers, and a global sales network of hundreds feeding inventory.
